Terms of service for Dusk Port — what you agree to by using the site, our disclaimers, and the limits of our role as an independent guide.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dusk Port website at duskport.com (“Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

  • We do not host ROMs, ISOs, or any Nintendo game data.

1. Who we are

Dusk Port is an independent editorial project covering the Dusklight PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and the broader decompilation scene. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

  • TwilitRealm (the team that develops Dusk)
  • Nintendo Co., Ltd. (the original copyright holder of Twilight Princess)
  • zeldaret or any decompilation project
  • Any platform vendor (Valve, Apple, Google, Microsoft)

All trademarks, product names, and brand names referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively for editorial purposes only.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site to read editorial content, follow install guides, and reference verified facts about Dusklight and related projects. You agree not to:

  • Scrape the Site at a rate that disrupts service for other users
  • Republish substantial portions of our editorial content without attribution and a link back
  • Use the Site to facilitate copyright infringement (e.g., asking us to host or link to ROMs)
  • Misrepresent yourself as the operator of the Site, or as a member of TwilitRealm or zeldaret
  • Submit malicious content via any contact channel we provide

We reserve the right to block IPs, rate-limit requests, or restrict access at our discretion.

3. No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Specifically:

  • Install guides describe procedures that worked at the time of writing on the hardware we tested. They may not work on your configuration. Follow them at your own risk.
  • Bug reports and known-issues lists are sourced from public GitHub trackers and community channels. We make best efforts to verify but cannot guarantee completeness or accuracy.
  • Version comparisons reflect our editorial judgment based on observable evidence; reasonable people may disagree.
  • External links point to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms.

The legality of dumping a GameCube/Wii disc, owning a copy of Twilight Princess, and running it on alternative hardware varies by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws that apply to you.

We document a path that — in the United States and many other jurisdictions — relies on the user owning a legitimate physical copy of the original game. We are not your lawyer; if you are unsure, consult one.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dusk Port and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to:

  • Legal action taken against you for activities you undertake based on Site content
  • Loss of access to the Site
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in any content

6. Intellectual property
